Crush Adulting! Time, Love, and Career Questions Answered

Haven't we all had those burning questions about life—the kind that keep us up at night or pop into our heads while we're doom scrolling on Sunday evening? Trust me– I definitely have! So I thought: why not dive into some of the most popular questions people are asking online and offer some insights that might just change the way you see things.

BTW, to hear me answer the full list of questions– DOWNLOAD this episode of Unstuck below👇

Huge shoutout to my friend Priya Purewal for helping me tackle some of these questions❣

Let's get into it.

>>>The Time Dilemma

You know how when you were younger, time felt endless? But as an adult, it’s like your days are suddenly consumed by a million responsibilities you never saw coming. And sometimes, you feel like your schedule isn't even your own?

I certainly didn’t realize how much time would slip away from me just managing the logistics of life. But here’s the thing—finding worth in how we navigate these daily challenges can actually make the grind feel more meaningful. When we're able to assign meaning to these daily rituals, we can start approaching them with a renewed sense of energy and purpose.

>>>Why Does It Seem Like So Many People Find Love in Their Late 20s?

Isn’t it interesting how so many people seem to find their life partners between 25 and 28? I know this can be frustrating for people who haven't found their partners, and feel like they're tackling adulthood alone.

One thing I’ve noticed is that during this time our priorities shift majorly. We start valuing different things, which forces us to bring forward what really matters in life. We then start spending more time doing those things we inherently value. When we do that, we naturally become more attractive to others who share those same values.

>>>The Public Speaking Jitters: How Can I Finally Get Comfortable Speaking in Front of Crowds?

Public speaking—why does it make us so nervous? If you’re like many of my friends (and tbh me too sometimes) and can’t stop shaking when you’re up there...

Here’s a little trick: try grounding yourself with familiar and comforting sensory objects, like your favorite fragrance. Soothing yourself with a familiar sense can immediately calm your nerves. Also–the same part of your brain that processes fear also handles excitement. So, trick yourself into feeling excited instead of scared—it actually works! Literally tell yourself, "I am excited to give this speech".

>>>Coping with Time Passing You By

As we get older, it’s easy to feel like time is slipping through our fingers. But instead of mourning the days that have passed, what if we saw each new day as an opportunity? Starting your day with this simple reframe can ensure you start making the most of every single day moving forward–rather than feeling nostalgic about the things you missed out on.

Start today and fill your week with things that light you up. It’s a simple mindset shift, but it can make all the difference.

>>>No Desire for a Job?

Lately, I’ve been hearing more people say they just don’t have the desire for a traditional job. And you know what? I get it. For the past 4 years, we've had to seriously reckon with the fact that traditional jobs are harder and harder to gain fulfillment from.

But it's okay. The key is to align your interests with the concept of work—slowly, bit by bit. Start by pulling at the thread of what genuinely fascinates you, and see where it takes you. You might be surprised by what you uncover, and what you can create a career from.

I'm sure we all have plenty more questions, and I would love to continue this convo with you. Send me a reply with your burning adult questions, and I'll answer them in a future episode!
